Jaymie is the daughter of Justin and Dayna White. She is a sophomore at Northeastern Jr. College in Sterling majoring in Ag Education. Her career goal is to be a High School Ag Teacher/FFA Advisor. She plans on finding a position at a rural school in Colorado. She has also considered a career as an Extension Agent which would allow her to work closely with children in the livestock industry. Next year she will be the first to go through the new agriculture education program with Colorado State University and Northeastern Junior College. She’ll be a student at CSU but attend classes through NJC with a lot more hands on courses and working in agriculture education classrooms in towns around Sterling.
Jaymie was an 11-year member of Box Elder Ag 4H Club. One of her major accomplishments during her 4H career was the establishment of doe herd that started with one doe to thirty does by the end of her project. This is one of her biggest accomplishments since she truly got to see her project from start to finish. From the kids that Jaymie would soon spend a year with hit the ground to the end when she would sell them. Along with that one of her weathers that she got Grand Champion Light Medium Weight was one that after about an hour of him being born she knew he was going to be a very special animal, and he was. He taught Jaymie patience and the importance of hard work. So, through her ten years in 4H She gained quality skills in leadership, community. Which has allowed her to become heavily involved in college and find a passion to work hard.
Jaymie is the recipient of the Ben Wilson Memorial Scholarship.
