Gene Inloes Memorial Livestock Judging Scholarship
Cody is the son of Craig and Becky Hays of Pierce. He is a senior and currently homeschooled. He is planning to attend Butler Community College in El Dorado, KS. It has become apparent to Cody over the last couple of years that a life in the agriculture industry, and more specifically the cattle industry, is his calling. Therefore, he has chosen to follow the path of Ag Business and Animal Science as the fields of his study. This will lay the foundation to help him excel in his endeavors into the agriculture industry. A short-term goal of Cody’s is to competitively participate in livestock judging at the collegiate level.
Cody is a 10-year member of Wyatt 4H Club. His projects included archery, air pistol, shotgun market beef, cooking, BB gun and rifle, and was also involved in livestock judging. His first years in 4H were in northwest Missouri where he got involved in archery, .22 rifle, shotgun and market beef. He then moved to Colorado to continue in 4H through the years and become involved in livestock judging. He gave back to his club by serving as President for one term. The Cloverbud turned 4H’er appreciates his leaders, volunteers, parents and family who molded him into who he was and who he has become.
Cody is the recipient of the Gene Inloes Memorial Livestock Judging Scholarship.
